Practical Business English (PBE)
from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Examinations Board (LCCIEB)
The Practical Business English examination is designed to test a candidate’s
ability to survive in a business environment using English as the language
of communication.
Successful candidates will have sufficient English language for practical needs and be able to understand straightforward forms of business communication.
PBE is available on demand or as a timetabled examination in series
2 and 3.

Practical Business English
The multiple-choice examination takes 1 hour and consists of 50 short
answer questions which cover the following areas:
- grammar recognition
- business vocabulary
- business interpretation
